Arsenal Scope Mount for AK Variant Rifles Including VEPR with Picatinny Rail Plum

The Arsenal SM-23 Scope Mount is the second-generation scope mount designed to be lighter stronger and more versatile. It’s engineered with cutouts on the front to reduce weight and the back is designed to slide smoothly into place making placement easier and quicker. These changes also allow use on VEPR rifles including RPKs.

The SM-23 is the ultimate optic mounting solution for AK-pattern rifles designed for precision stability and durability. Born out of a military requirement the SM-23 is machined from a single piece of aircraft-grade aluminum and hard anodized for maximum strength and wear resistance. It features a 19-slot Picatinny rail that extends over 7.5 inches—allowing multiple devices to be mounted simultaneously or a single optic to be positioned for optimal eye relief. Each SM-23 is engraved with Arsenal’s CAGE code as part of our U.S. Defense Department contractual relationship.

Its low-profile design follows the rifle’s contours for a secure tight grip while the relief cut along the rail ensures that iron sights remain usable even when the mount is attached. Unlike mounts that rely on unstable top covers or gas tubes the SM-23 secures directly to the AK’s side scope rail—the most stable mounting platform available.

The steel adjustable locking mechanism with a tension-adjustable quick-release system provides a rock-solid hold ensuring repeatable zero retention even after removal and reinstallation.

With its rugged construction precision engineering and hard-anodized finish the Arsenal SM-23 Scope Mount is the go-to choice for professionals competitors and AK enthusiasts who demand unmatched strength reliability and functionality.
